Curtis Stone Restaurant and Chef’s Table to Debut Across Princess Cruises Fleet

Princess Cruises has teamed up with television personality and restaurateur Curtis Stone to add new dishes and dining experiences to its 18 ships around the globe.

​The international partnership has three courses: “Crafted by Curtis” menu items in the main dining room; a new specialty restaurant concept and menu; and a Chef's Table by Curtis Stone.

“Crafted by Curtis” menu items are set to debut in his home country of Australia onboard Golden Princess in October before rolling out fleet-wide through the end of the year.

Curtis' first restaurant at sea will debut in December on Emerald Princess, sailing from Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean, and Ruby Princess, from Los Angeles to Hawaii and Mexico. The rollout will continue on Coral Princess' Panama Canal cruises and then Sun Princess in Australia. Curtis Stone's Chef's Table experience will debut across the fleet beginning in early 2016.

Commenting on the partnership, Stone said just the word ‘cruise' made him feel relaxed.

"I'm set on bringing a new culinary experience to the sea to enhance and complete a cruise holiday,” he said.

“Since I travel often, I know that discovering delicious food and sharing a great meal can create some of the most memorable moments and I've designed my restaurants with this in mind. It's important to me that guests have the experience that I would want and food that I'd be thrilled to eat myself, at sea or anywhere else in the world.”

Princess Cruises president Jan Swartz said the partnership would appeal to passengers around the world "and most certainly to those enjoying Australia-based cruises since Chef Stone hails from Australia and is incredibly popular in his homeland".

Internationally known, the Melbourne-born chef began his cooking career in Australia and honed his skills at Michelin-starred restaurants in London. He has appeared on top-rated cooking programs, most recently starring as a mentor on the US Food Network's All-Star Academy and is host of the Network's Beach Eats (premiering August 12). His first solo restaurant, Maude, opened to rave reviews in Beverly Hills, California in 2014, and he is also a New York Times bestselling author, having written six cookbooks, his most recent Good Food, Good Life.
